Effective immediately the Non-Operational Facility Category
in the Auxiliary has been eliminated.

The Auxiliary Ensign may now fly on either inspected surface
facilities that display a current facility decal or on vessels owned by
Auxiliarists that have successfully completed a Vessel Safety Check
and that display a current VSC decal.

Trailhead: PT Boat 658
During World War II PT Boats, wooden craft armed to the teeth, fought in all avenues of the war.
Years passed and they were slowly replaced or turned into motor yachts for civilians. Now none exist in their wartime glory,
save one. The journey from sunken and sullied PT grave to restored and refurbished military splendor is one of dedication,
donation, and determination. Only the Greatest Generation could have pulled it off. Their goal was simple, their path was not.
This is their story.  Click the link above.

U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary History

Member Training has been updated.

eDirectory

Your e-mail address in the National eDirectory needs to be verified.
A verified e-mail address is one where the eDirectory has previously sent a code number to the
member's e-mail address of record and the member then verified receipt of the code number.

Why would you want to verify your e-mail address?
First of all, to use the eDirectory, you must set up an account.
You must verify your e-mail address before an account can be set up.

The eDirectory is a great way to locate Auxiliary members when you only
have scant information about the member.  You can identify and contact elected and staff officers for any unit.
Not verifying has no bearing on whether members can locate you, only on your ability to locate them.

Next, there is a new security process in the works that allows members access to Auxiliary web sites
by entering their eDirectory password. Without an eDirectory account... no eDirectory password... no admittance
to those web sites.  This security method eliminates the need to broadcast a common password to every member,
thereby reducing the password's effectiveness.

The procedure for setting up an account is quite simple.
Click on the link below for instructions in setting up an account.
